Marilyn Lindgren

Background:

Marilyn has practiced yoga for over thirty years and has taught for years. She came to yoga with a background in dance and gymnastics, including training in Martha Graham Modern Dance technique. Her eclectic Hatha Yoga background includes studies with teachers from many traditions. Her initial introduction to meditation through Siddha Yoga has been enriched by other meditation experiences  and training in deep relaxation techniques.

Approach:

Marilyn’s current teaching is guided by her Viniyoga training. Classes explore movement (asanas), breathing, relaxation techniques, as well as other tools of yoga, as appropriate. Classes are non-competitive and encourage self-awareness and a healthy body image. Private yoga sessions provide personalized work to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve overall physical and emotional wellness.  Marilyn   enjoys working with adult beginners, intermediates and seniors.  She also teaches gentle, restorative and deep relaxation.
